01The idea

Design in the editor you already use

Gutenberg is fine until you want a coloured callout, a border on one group, or a table of contents. Then it is either a snippet in the customiser, a child theme edit, or a page builder that takes over the whole post.

iStyleBlox adds a styling panel to every block in the sidebar and a set of blog blocks under its own inserter category. Everything stays native Gutenberg, so the post content is still portable if you switch the plugin off.

02Styling panel

Controls on every block

Select a block, core or third party, and the panel is there in the sidebar.

  • Background colour, on any block rather than the handful core allows.
  • Borders: colour, width, radius and style.
  • Spacing: padding and margin, per side.
  • Typography: text colour, font size and font weight.
  • Style presets: Highlighted Box, Soft Card, Bold Banner and more, applied in one click.
03Blocks

Seven blocks for long form posts

All of them sit under the iStyleBlox category in the block inserter, and all of them accept the styling panel above.

01

Key Takeaways

A styled, collapsible box for the points a reader should leave with. Usually the first thing under the intro.

02

Table of Contents

Reads the heading blocks in the post and builds a clickable list. The only block that loads frontend JavaScript.

03

FAQ Accordion

Question and answer pairs that collapse. Add as many as the article needs.

04

CTA Box

A call to action with heading, description and button, with the background, text and button all editable.

05

Note Box

Coloured callouts in four types: info, warning, tip and error.

06

Featured Product Card

Image, name, description, price and a button. Useful in reviews and roundups.

07

Author Box

Avatar, name, bio and social links, for the end of a post.
